Hey guys, sorry I haven't updated since July! Since then I've turned 24, got a dog, and am waist deep in the Regular Show comic miniseries I'm writing and drawing. I have a lot of deadlines to keep up with now (like 22 thumbed, penciled and inked pages in just 12 days THAT WAS FUN) so as you've probably noticed there's been a great lack of Sakana updates recently. Paid work comes first, so I've had to put it on the backburner for a little while. I'll still be able to put up a strip every now and then, but there's no telling when I'll get the opportunities.

1. The first issue will be out in comic stores and wherever they sell floppy single issues on NOVEMBER 6th (so I've been lead to believe). You will know which one is mine because it has Skips the yeti screaming on the cover. I've done literally everything for this comic except the coloring, so it's kind of like my weird regular show baby. If you pick up a copy, consider contacting the company to tell them how you like it and maybe I'll get more jobs like this in the futureeeeee :'V. I'm working under the name "Mad Rupert" instead of my full name, "Madeline Rupert".

2. Because of the miniseries and everything else I've done for the Regular Show/Adventure Time comics, I got invited to NEW YORK COMIC CON!!! I'll be working and drawing sketches for people at the BOOM! STUDIOS booth! If you're going, stop by and say hello!! (I'll be the really short lady with really short brown hair.) If you've got a few bucks to spare, you can commission me to draw a Regular Show or Adventure Time character on a blank comic cover!

3. I might not be posting a lot of artwork but I'm PRODUCING A WHOLE LOT OF ART. I just can't post it yet :u

Thanks everybody for your patience! Remember, if you're feeling a lack of Sakana in your life, the SAKANA STORE is always open~

You are by far, my favorite person. Also, I'm writing for a comic, got any tips?

The fastest and easiest way I've found to script a whole lot in a short amount of time is to write a detailed summary of the entire story first, then determine how many pages your story will be (or vice-versa, whichever you want to start with.) Then go through your big synopsis and cut it up into however many pages you need, and then cut those page segments into panels, and then write dialogue for the panels. The important thing to remember is not to have too many actions per page!

Well, I am the writer for my comic. I have already written the script and broken it down into its basic components, even to the issues/page count per volume. I even have an artist that I work with ~NikkTheHuman who draws it and my editor Erik. I just meant like publicity speaking.

Hey Mad. I was watching this:…

... and I'm not sure, but I think the main character is you. I remember you sounding JUST LIKE THIS. Am I insane?

aaaahhhh I think you might be insane? hahaha that's not quite what I sound like and I've never done voice work before :V

Damn, I've always thought I might be a bit crazy :(
Hey, I was just wondering if you had given this thing anymore thought, or did that get pushed to the background?…
