I was listening to Rammstein when I put this together.
Anyways, here's the MS Paint tutorial I said I'd do. (This is for fun, not because I think my wisdom is worth imparting. )
Also, it's worth noting that if you begin your sketch with black lines, it's only a matter of using a different color outline (such as red, to make it easy to see) and then taking out the black as I took out the blue. Once that's done, you can switch the outline back to black. (Pretty obvious, no?)
It's ALSO worth noting, that I did this with a tablet. It will probably be harder with a mouse. Sorry.
I'm still going to go over coloring and simulating layers in Paint, as well as some other little outlining things (hands, etc.) If there's anything else anybody would like me to cover, just let me know.
Let me ask though, are you using the tablet to do this? I could imagine that it would be alot more difficult to do this with a mouse.

Well...I do use a tablet, but a mouse might give you more control. Tablet pens have a tendency to go WHEREVER THE HELL THEY WANT. Mice are a bit steadier.
My thoughts: It's easier to outline with a tablet, but it's easier to clean with a mouse.
Yeah, the cleaning I would understand. What I really meant was the outlining, which I agree that the tablet would fare better there

lol, I think almost everyone would have a mouse, but yes, the mouse is the only thing that I have.

When I gets enough monies, I'll definitely buy myself a tablet
